People I Meet

Just one year in Cochin and I bumped into people of all sorts. There were times I was badly searching for a DELETE button, so that I can hit it right away and get the galling faces outta my mind. And there were times when I sincerely wished “why didn’t I meet this person earlier”.

Here goes the list of those

Who made me laugh :-)

Who made me brood :-(

Who made me speechless :-|

Savior :-)

Heard of metamorphosis, but this was rather wild. From the humble, simple, innocent boy (err, old boy) to the rave, crazy and all-nonsense weirdo, it was a hasty jump. That’s Savior – the one who saved me from the knee-deep waters of Veegaland ;) lolz! A hall-mark certified foodie, who never eats much when the treat is his! A pampered (read spoilt) kid, who falls sick if momma adds a pinch of sugar extra to the bed-coffee. A fashion junkie, yet turns up wearing outfits in dashy, flashy, spooky shades of pink!

Miss Dyslexic :-)

Ha! Ma Radhi the bestEST. Though we happened to meet at a place which I want to forget forever, the friendship we shared is something masti! We are not the friends-at-first-sight kinda friends. Just a couple of months together and we started getting the vibes - crisis brings people closer and in our case, it certainly did, the crisis here was our Corporate Hitch! That was literally a run, from the world of favoritism, tensions and worries to the world of ALL FUN! Her ill-timed ‘banana talks’ to her Dyslexic attacks, everything makes my day lively when she is around!

Peter Parker :-)

Don’t mistake this Peter Parker from Angamaly for the coy boy from Marvel! If Peter Parker has interest in nothing but photography, Angamaly Parker tries his hands on everything – writing, designing, photography, music, dancing (citation needed!), just to name a few. When Peter Parker just silk-screened the costume for Spider Man, Angamaly Parker goes to that extra mile by trying the attires of Zorro, Bin Laden and even the suave Jack Sparrow. He paints his world with all bright hues and makes it lively with the trimmings of music! Love watching he turning a bright hue of pink when someone gossips (deliberately-faked-gossips, ofcourse) about him. Just one comment and that is enough for him to get all boiled up!

Only thing is, his voice goes a few decibels up when he is on phone ;).

Yashika :-) :-|

Listen to what the grapevine has to say about Yashika –

Psst Psst “He is Married!”

“He is a father of two!!”

“One is a girl and the other boy!!!” ~~giggle~~

“Eh, he looks bad when he smiles”

“He is not a Muslim!”

“He is an Ahangari!” (Deliberate usage of ahangari – just to reflect the effect)

These and more interesting blabs made the Grapevine Tales interesting and me kept listening to it until he defamed the Lively Writers at ISPG ;).

This person is The Apple to many eyes ;) yet acts as if he doesn’t care the least bit of it. Tries to be an unsullied, guileless, lily-white kinda guy, yet fails miserably. Don’t be surprised if he gives a blank stare when you meet him in a crowd, making you wonder “this is that person only right” – that is Yashika (but I have no clue why or what is that blank stare for)!

Another thing that remains a mystery about Yashika is, why he denied the opportunity to act in the remake of Manichithrathazhu ;)

English Mutta a.k.a Choottu :-) :-|

Know her for 15 days and she has helped me brew the screenplay for 10 full-length comedy movies. English Mutta is known for her ill-timed, innocent-yet-silly jokes and supposed-to-be-sincere comments. The moment she enters the office I hear a distant ‘swooosh’ – my day’s resolution of I-won’t-relax-the-office-decorum going down the drain! ‘Arinjille’, ‘Ithu Shariyano’, ‘Athendha Angane’ – these are some of her opening dialogues for the day and she fills our cozy office with her lively charm (BRIBE : sonpapdi).

High Command a.k.a Nandi Croft :-) :-|

The Tom-Boy at ISPG! A person who knows how to tackle even the toughER nuts, who never has second thoughts to pull an all-nighter. Can spot her with a smiling face, even when the client is showering all those ‘good-words’! Love her way of management –joins all the hullabaloo and fun at office and goes gup-chup all of a sudden asking herself “are we getting noisy?” – the team takes the cue from this, ofcourse!

Next in the list:

Banana Chips

Vetalam

Mr Kisukisu

Pallu

Orbit Factory

Don’t go by the looks….. And the sincerity of a person

This is not the first time. This is something which keeps happening, as if to teach me life is thus. Me not getting a hang of it even after so many experiences and encounters could be another raison d'ĂȘtre!

I am no person with a glib and oily tongue, but miserably fall prey to those who really are. Every time when I go for those convincing words, I keep hearing a voice within me saying not to – Alas, it’s my own voice and as I said - I am terrible in the art of convincing. I just ignore those feeble inner voices and go for the words of the person – no matter whether he/she is a stranger or a friend, only to realize the slip-up later.

The frequency of such situations is high recently, don’t know why. Even at this very moment the pang of deceit is ruling high within me. It is not that I am not trying to learn things, it is because I start trusting a person when he/she starts building (or acts thus) a rapport with me, laughs at my silly jokes, cheers me up when am down, giggles at gossips and gives hi-fi to my foodie outing plans. Things go well until the third person arrives (I wonder, how can anyone plan so well – in all such situations, this third person never went wrong in making the timely stage-appearance). There, I can see the whirls of deceit start appearing; it slowly gains momentum and turns into a furore maelstrom strong enough to shatter the memories of those good ol’ days.

The beauty of such situations is, the person slips out the scene just like that, leaving the brooding me behind – the third person goes with him/her, of course!

I Am Happy and I Am Back

Now that things have slowed down to a smoother rhythm, I have decided to wipe the dust off my blog and start feeding in my daily scribblings. However, I am deleting my older blog and posts forever – things that are too-hard-to-forget need to be forgotten anyways.
